Gamblers World Line Moves: College Football Week 9 Update

College Football Week 9 Lines Moves and Free Picks

Is it already the last weekend in October already? It’s crazy to think it was Week 0 two months ago. We have this week’s largest line moves that include a Top 25 matchup where the favorite is sinking. Here are all the updates for this week and Free Picks that are solid 33-21 (61.1%). Also, don’t neglect the winning Betting Trends.

CFB – (127) Eastern Michigan at (128) Akron +3
Saturday, October 26  – 3:30 p.m. ET / ESPN+

The fact that Akron (1-6 SU and ATS) went from +5.5 to +3 playing host to Eastern Michigan signifies sharp action because this is not aGamblersWorld,College Football,Line Moves,Week 9,Update,CFB,Akron,Baylor,Cincinnati,Colorado,Georgia Tech,Free Picks,Navy,Oklahoma State,Stanford,Virgina,Wake Forest,Bet Percentage matchup on everyone’s radar. The Zips are not going to win out to be bowl-eligible. The Eagles on the other hand will play in a bowl with a victory at 6-2, and they are one of a half dozen clubs in the MAC that is 2-1, still having a shot to reach the conference title tilt with the new format. Akron has won four of the last six meetings as host, dating back to 2000, however, Eastern Mich. was four straight (2-0-2 ATS). Update: The Eagles continued to glide downward, now at -2.5. Maybe the Zips step up but with the line below +3, one would need Akron to win outright, which is no certainty. With EMU 7-1 ATS on the MAC road and 4-0 ATS when facing a losing team, let’s soar with the Eagles.

Bet Percentage: Was Eastern Michigan 85%, now Akron 60%

Doug’s Pick – Eastern Michigan covers

CFB – (133) Georgia Tech at (134) Virginia Tech -11
Saturday, October 26 –12:00 p.m. ET / ACCN

Having started play in Week 0 in what seemed like a big upset of then #10 Florida State, this will be Georgia Tech’s ninth contest before we reach November. The Yellow Jackets play a physical brand of football and played better than the score showed versus #11 Notre Dame, ultimately falling 31-13. Virginia Tech got back over .500 by doubling up Boston College 42-21 last week. Football bettors definitely believe there is nothing hokey about the Hokies, shifting them two points to -11 over the Rambling Wreck. Watch who controls the line of scrimmage when Virginia Tech has the ball, with the Hokies #19 in rushing and Georgia Tech at #27 stopping the run. Update: There is a pullback against Virginia Tech to -10. This is a pick your poison special. Do you like that the Hokies are 7-0 ATS vs. defenses allowing a completion. percentage of 58% or worse or the Yellow Jackets are 11-2 ATS versus an offensive team averaging 5.9 or more yards a play?

Bet Percentage: Was Virginia Tech 52%, now Georgis Tech 70%

CFB – (151) Notre Dame vs. (152) Navy +11.5, Total 52
Saturday, October 26 – 12:00 p.m. ET / ABC

GamblersWorld,College Football,Line Moves,Week 9,Update,CFB,Akron,Baylor,Cincinnati,Colorado,Georgia Tech,Free Picks,Navy,Oklahoma State,Stanford,Virgina,Wake Forest,Bet PercentageIf Notre Dame thought they might have a real shot to make the new playoffs, they would have never guessed two of their remaining toughest matchups would be against Navy and Army (both unbeaten and ranked), rather than Florida State and USC. Yet, that appears as the circumstances and the Midshipmen are drawing support, dropping anchor from +13.5 to +11.5 against the Fighting Irish. Far and away the biggest line movement on total is on the encounter, with the total surging SEVEN points from 45 to 52. The Middies are a surprising 13-10 ATS (4-19 SU) in this annual affair. You might not know Navy is #4 both rushing and scoring this season. Update: Despite solid backing of wagering on the Midshipmen, Notre Dame passed the opening line and is presently at -14, though the total has gone in reverse to 50.5. With Navy having played a “Charmin” schedule, with Memphis the toughest opponent, the Irish will be inclined to take them seriously at 6-0. Notre Dame’s defense will allow yards, not points and this will go UNDER.

Bet Percentage: Was Navy 80% & OVER 93%, now Navy 75% & OVER 73%

Doug’s Pick Leans Notre Dame covers and UNDER

CFB – (171) Oklahoma State at (172) Baylor -6.5
Saturday, October 26 – 3:30 p.m. ET / ESPN+

Both these squads are 3-4. That is truly disappointing for Oklahoma State who was a true Big 12 contender to start the year. The Cowboys are 0-4 (1-3 ATS) in conference play and look no further than having the #129 club in total defense as to why. Baylor ended a three-game losing streak in upsetting Texas Tech 59-35 in Lubbock catching five points and might need to win to save coach Dave Aranda’s job. The Bears opened at -4 and clawed their way to -6.5. Interesting to know the visitor is on a 4-1 SU and ATS move. Update: This Big 12 line did not move all week in spite of mostly Cowboys cash coming in. Okie State finally put together a quality offensive contest at BYU scoring 35 points.  With these two porous defenses, the OVER is the right play. This is a hold-your-nose selection as we cannot ignore Baylor is 0-5 ATS at home off an upset win as an underdog.

Bet Percentage: Was Baylor 89%, now Oklahoma State 69%

Doug’s Pick – Lean Oklahoma State covers

NEW – CFB – (187) Cincinnati at (188) Colorado -6.5,
Saturday, Oct. 26 – 10:15 p.m. ET / ESPN

Another game where the public cannot get enough of Colorado with Deon Sanders calling the shots. The opening line has the BuffalosGamblersWorld,College Football,Line Moves,Week 9,Update,CFB,Akron,Baylor,Cincinnati,Colorado,Georgia Tech,Free Picks,Navy,Oklahoma State,Stanford,Virgina,Wake Forest,Bet Percentage at -3.5 early, it was budged to -4.5 by midweek and sits at -6.5 on Friday afternoon. No question, the Buffs at 5-2 is a surprise, but so is Cincinnati with the same record. With the exception of last season, the Bearcats are a tough out year after year and the improvement for Colorado has come on the defensive side, making more consistent stops. In truth, this feels like a few too many points to back the club from Boulder and underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points like Cincy off two straight wins against conference rivals, with a winning record on the season, playing another winning team, are 70-33 ATS, losing by just 1.3 PPG.

Bet Percentage: Colorado 65%

Doug’s Pick – Cincinnati covers

CFB – (203) Wake Forest at (204) Stanford  Total 54
Saturday, October 26 – 3:30 p.m. ET / ACCN

Nothing says exciting ACC football like Wake Forest traveling to Stanford? (Yes, we’re joking.) Nevertheless, it is no joke the total has tumbled from 56 to 54. Both defenses are conceding better than 32 PPG, however, then you have to consider the offenses. The Cardinal are averaging an unsightly 18.9 PPG while the Demon Deacons are hit and miss. Wake has tallied 30 or more points in four games and their three other conflicts are at 23 points or fewer. With Stanford 8-1 UNDER after allowing 6.25 or more yards a play in their previous game, will that hold up again? Update: This total continued to tumble, now sitting at 53. This seems the right direction with Stanford 8-1 UNDER after allowing 6.25 or more yards a play in their previous game and Wake Forest 6-0 UNDER away vs. defenses allowing 250 or more passing YPG.

Bet Percentage: Was UNDER 60%, now 70%

Doug’s Pick – Take UNDER
